John has conducted security assessments on schools, hospitals, state administrative buildings, and special event facilities including the site of Super Bowl XXXIII.  These assessments have included descriptions and photographs of where Active Shooters, IEDs and other WMDs could do the most damage and have significant impact to lives and property.  Consulting support for clients has included developing security plans for an Active Shooter incident during a large special event to include emergency notifications, evacuation, sheltering, command and control as well as tactical response.

Mr. Bellamy has extensive experience conducting threat and security assessments as an FBI Special Agent on one of the nation’s largest Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTF) and as a Security Assessment Specialist.  He has conducted numerous assessments involving potential acts of terrorism against the community, facilities and events, including special events like the Super Bowl.  He has led investigations and been on teams investigating threats to a high school, college, international airport, police headquarters, hospital, commercial business office and other threats against the community.

 

As FBI Lead Planner, WMD Coordinator and Bomb Technician for numerous special events such as Super Bowl XXXIII, Free Trade of the Americas Summit, and Pope’s Inaugural Visit to Cuba, John has worked closely with multiple jurisdictions and disciplines to ensure the safety of participants at these high profile events.  He has worked with law enforcement and security staff to address threats at hotels and special event facilities.  John was part of a Special Response Team at the ’01 Presidential Inauguration to address threats from WMD materials/devices during the event.  He has also received U.S. Department of State High Risk Dignitary Protection Certification which incorporated proficiency in firearms, security details for VIPs, and hostage rescue.  John has worked with SWAT Team Leaders, Bomb Squad Commanders and Hazmat Team Leaders in real world response and CCTA training scenarios to address potential threats from Active Shooters, IEDs and other Weapons of Mass of Destruction.  John’s experience with special events, dignitary protection, security planning and CCTA training has given him a unique skill set in knowing what areas to address when planning for a National Special Security Event (NSSE).​
